Volleyball Recap: Illinois Valley Comes Up Short

Illinois Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oakland Oakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Oakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Illinois Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Oakland, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Illinois Valley will take on rival Reedsport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oakland is set to face off against their familiar foe Bandon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
