Flag Football Recap: Hercules Piles Up the Points Against De Anza

Hercules got themselves on the board against De Anza on Saturday, but De Anza never followed suit. They blew past the Dons, posting a 30-0 victory. That looming 30-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Titans yet this season.

Hercules didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Nia Saechao and Natalie Miyamoto were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Saechao got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hercules has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.2 points on average over those games. As for De Anza, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hercules will challenge rival Vallejo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Titans 10.9, the Redhawks 13.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, De Anza is set to square off against their familiar foe Pinole Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
