Softball Recap: Ooltewah Triumphs

Ooltewah hadn't done well against Bradley Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Owls' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bears a 4-0 shutout. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Jaeda Tucker, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Bradley Central off the board. Tucker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaylin Leblanc, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Ooltewah's victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Bradley Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-19-1 record this season.

Ooltewah has already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against East Hamilton on the 7th. Bradley Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
