Baseball Recap: Bay Comes Up Short

Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Poplarville Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-2 defeat last Thursday.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Poplarville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bay and Poplarville will both be playing Moss Point the next time they take the field. Poplarville will host Moss Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Bay will host them at 7:00 p.m. on April 8.
