Basketball Recap: Sanford Takes a Loss

Sanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 62-51 to the Thornton Academy Trojans. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 76-71.

Sanford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Thornton Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cheverus the next time they take the court. Thornton Academy will head out to face Cheverus at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Sanford will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
