Volleyball Recap: Liberty Union Takes a Loss

Liberty Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

While Liberty Union was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bloom-Carroll's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-14.

Jaelynn Dennison paced Liberty Union's offense, picking up seven kills. Dennison got some help from Sophie Sharb and her 11 assists.

Liberty Union's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Bloom-Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.

Liberty Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Logan Elm on the 30th. As for Bloom-Carroll, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fairfield Union on the 30th.
