Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Greyhounds vs. Eastern Warriors

Manchester hasn't had much luck against Eastern recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Greyhounds will head out to challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Manchester will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Whiteoak, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Greyhounds came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 58-48 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greyhounds.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Eastern over Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Warriors blew the Blue Jays out of the water with a 65-26 final score. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

Manchester's record is now 6-7. As for Eastern, their record now sits at 10-0.

Manchester took a serious blow against Eastern in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 70-36. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
