Volleyball Recap: Calhoun's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Calhoun lost against Allatoona back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Calhoun started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Leading Allatoona to victory were Ashlyn Jones and Bri Mcveigh. Jones had 17 digs and two aces, while Mcveigh had six digs. Those 17 digs gave Jones a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Calhoun fell to 5-1. As for Allatoona, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coming up, Calhoun will challenge Jefferson at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Allatoona, they will take on North Forsyth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
