Football Recap: Berrien Comes Up Short

Berrien played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets, falling 42-14. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cash Perkins threw for 130 yards and one TD. Jerrion Brown was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards. On the ground, Gene Watson rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown.

Berrien's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jeff Davis, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Berrien wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 54-16 defeat against Worth County on the 10th. As for Jeff Davis, they have also already played their next matchup, a 34-17 victory against Bacon County on the 10th.
