There's no place like home for Lincoln East, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Columbus Discoverers on Saturday, sneaking past 29-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted against the Discoverers since December 6, 2014.

Lincoln East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sadie Mccleary led the charge by putting up nine points and five boards. What's more, Mccleary also posted a 43% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Neveah Coleman, who posted five points and six rebounds.

Lincoln East smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Lincoln East's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Columbus, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-11.

Lincoln East has already played their next game, a 58-39 loss against Omaha Westside on the 20th. As for Columbus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-36 defeat against Seward on the 20th.
