Durant had lost nine straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 13-16 to make it ten. They fell 7-4 to the Tushka Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Cole Robbins and Holdan Robinson did some serious damage despite the final result: Robbins went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Robinson went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Robinson is becoming a predictor of Durant's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 3-1 (and 10-15 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Thompson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.
As for Tushka, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games.
On Tushka's side, Dj Alberda made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Alberda has posted since back in March. He was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jace Hastings, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Braylon Hastings was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Durant will challenge Idabel at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tushka, they will venture away from home to face off against Tuttle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tuttle's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Tushka's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
