Baseball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Milby Buffs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buffs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Justin Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mason Misari, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Milby, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Sterling will square off against Spring Woods at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milby, they have already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Deer Park on the 12th.
