Baseball Recap: Texico Takes a Loss

Texico lost against Tucumcari two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Rattlers by a score of 16-15. The Wolverines' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Hunter Bowman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 4-for-6 with three doubles, four RBI, and one run. Izzy Silva also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Texico's record is now 1-4. As for Tucumcari, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texico will challenge Eunice at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tucumcari, they will take on Pecos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rattlers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
