Baseball Game Preview: Neoga Indians vs. Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions

The Neoga Indians will face off against the Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neoga is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Neoga will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Okaw Valley on Tuesday. The Indians came out on top against the Timberwolves by a score of 11-7. While the Indians didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Carter Young was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Kanen White was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Christ Our Rock Lutheran's offense. They fell just short of Zeigler-Royalton by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Silver Stallions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Neoga, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Neoga couldn't quite get it done against Christ Our Rock Lutheran when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 8-5. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
