Softball Recap: Delta Falls Short of Ketchikan in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Delta can now relate to. They lost 14-2 to the Ketchikan Kings on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Huskies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Delta's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Ketchikan, their win bumped their record up to 16-18-2.

Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ketchikan, they will square off against Kenai Central at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Kings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Kardinals have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
