Basketball Recap: Stringer Comes Up Short

Stringer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Puckett Wolves and fell 62-34. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Wolves are ranked 101st).

Stringer's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Puckett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stringer won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clarkdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Puckett, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
