Basketball Recap: Sincere Monroe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Windsor Locks over Academy of Aerospace and Engineering

Windsor Locks was the 52-49 winner over Academy of Aerospace and Engineering when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Windsor Locks Raiders took a hard 70-55 fall against the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets on Friday.

Windsor Locks lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sincere Monroe, who went 10 of 21 on his way to 28 points and five rebounds. Monroe's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Vion LaBoy, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Windsor Locks has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Locks will square off against Thomaston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, they will venture away from home to take on Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
