Volleyball Recap: Lewiston-Altura Comes Up Short

If Lewiston-Altura was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. Charles on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the Grand Meadow Superlarks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Teagan Hartman paced Lewiston-Altura's offense, picking up eight kills. Hartman got some help from Lavin LeJeune and her 16 assists. LeJeune also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alyssa Hansen, racking up three apiece.

Lewiston-Altura's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Grand Meadow, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Lewiston-Altura has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Nova Classical Academy on the 6th. As for Grand Meadow, they will head out on the road to face off against Spring Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
