Vanguard skates past River Ridge with ease

Recap: Vanguard Knights vs. River Ridge Royal Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Vanguard Knights had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by River Ridge at home to the tune of 36-0. Considering Vanguard has won five contests by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Vanguard pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.9 points per game. As for River Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Vanguard will stay at home for another week and welcome Zephyrhills at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Zephyrhills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Vanguard is ranked 50th). River Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
