Basketball Game Preview: Rittman Indians vs. Dalton Bulldogs

Rittman is 1-9 against Dalton since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rittman Indians will welcome the Dalton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Rittman is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 67-36 loss at the hands of Smithville. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 795th, while the Smithies are ranked 156th).

Meanwhile, Dalton fought the good fight in their overtime contest against West Branch on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Warriors 76-71.

Dalton has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points over those games. As for Rittman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.
