Basketball Recap: Quantico Takes a Loss

Quantico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 71-19 defeat at the hands of the Highland Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Hawks are ranked 104th).

Quantico's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Highland, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Quantico will be playing in front of their home fans against Tandem Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland, they will square off against Oakcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
