Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only New Trier walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Juarez Eagles a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. New Trier might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by three goals or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for New Trier and bumps their season record up to 20-1-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Juarez, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6-2.
