Basketball Recap: Milton Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Milton Panthers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to the Creekside Knights. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Milton still got an impressive performance from Sergio Robinson, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 18 points and four steals. Mateo Robinson was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

Creekside found their leader in sophomore Nolan Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 20 boards. Nelson also set a new season-high mark in steals with four. Derek Rivers was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and six assists.

Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Creekside, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Milton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-48 win against Vanguard on the 29th. As for Creekside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-48 loss against Eustis on the 29th.
