South Granville has gone a perfect 3-0 against Orange recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jaylen Wilkerson and Kayden Bradsher.

South Granville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 48 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Seaforth on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 27-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since September 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orange). They put the hurt on Carrboro with a sharp 38-12 victory on Friday. The Panthers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 54-0).

Orange's win came from a few key players South Granville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Markus Thomas, who rushed for 124 yards.

Orange was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 299 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

South Granville's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Orange, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

South Granville took their victory against Orange in their previous meeting back in August of 2022 by a conclusive 33-10 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
