Baseball Preview: Richwood Lumberjacks vs. Liberty Raiders        
        
		
            
 The Richwood Lumberjacks will be playing at home against the Liberty Raiders at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Liberty took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Richwood, who comes in off a win.
 Richwood never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mount View last Monday. They blew past the Golden Knights 15-4.
  Trae Trivolette and  Dalton Spencer made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Trivolette   struck out 13 batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   four  hits. Meanwhile,  Spencer   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Trivolette  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Spencer  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Dakota Sizemore was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole five bases while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaden Jantuah, who  scored three  runs and  stole five bases while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile, Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  rough 13-2 defeat at the hands of Nicholas County.
 Richwood's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Richwood skirted past Liberty  3-2 in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Will Richwood repeat their success,  or does  Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
