Softball Recap: Clovis Takes a Loss

Clovis fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Portales on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 6-5. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Clovis saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazlynn Chavez- Marin, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Portales, their record is now 6-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Clovis by a score of 12-11 later that day.
