Softball Recap: Xavier Takes a Loss

After flying high against Shawano Community on Monday, Xavier came back down to earth. The Hawks fell just short of the West De Pere Phantoms by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Phantoms earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Xavier saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Hervey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another was Elianna Riehl, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Xavier's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-6. As for West De Pere, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Xavier will be playing at home against Ripon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West De Pere, they will face off against De Pere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
