Baseball Recap: Vineland Fighting Clan vs. Kingsway Dragons
Vineland dropped their record down to 13-10 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Kingsway Dragons, falling 12-1. If the Fighting Clan were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Kingsway, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-6-1. Considering they have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
For Kingsway's part, they got a great performance from Kevin Magsam as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Magsam has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Kyle Shields was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Dylan Rickards, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
