Soccer Recap: West Craven Comes Up Short

West Craven lost against SouthWest Edgecombe back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. West Craven have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dahira Rodriguez-Lopez wasn't going to let SouthWest Edgecombe walk away unscathed as she scored both of West Craven's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

West Craven's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Craven will head out to take on Farmville Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. West Craven's defense better be ready for this one: Farmville Central have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they will venture away from home to square off against Rocky Mount at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. SouthWest Edgecombe will be up against Rocky Mount's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.58 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
