Basketball Recap: Surry HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Surry HomeSchool was the 43-37 winner over Greater Cabarrus S when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots and the Greater Cabarrus S Stallions didn't end well, with the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots falling 45-26.

Greater Cabarrus S got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Miller out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Those 14 points gave Miller a new career-high. Brianna Cole was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Surry HomeSchool has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Greater Cabarrus S, their record is now 7-19.

Surry HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-27 loss against Forsyth Home Educators on the 10th. As for Greater Cabarrus S, they have also already played their next contest, an 88-11 defeat against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 7th.
