Recap: Roscommon Bucks vs. Manton Rangers
After a string of five wins, the Roscommon Bucks's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manton. While losing is never fun, Roscommon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Manton is ranked 67th).
Despite the defeat, Roscommon had strong showings from Alexis Carper, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds, and Zoey Kauffman, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Roscommon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Manton, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roscommon will take on McBain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Roscommon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Monday. As for Manton, they will head out on the road to square off against Pine River Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
