Softball Recap: Nichols' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Nichols couldn't beat St. Mary on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Vikings lost 15-5 to the Lancers. The loss put an end to the Vikings' undefeated start to the season.

Brynn Bacak made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Ellery Jaworowicz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Nichols fell to 2-1. As for St. Mary's, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nichols will challenge rival Nardin Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, St. Mary's is set to square off against their familiar foe Mount St. Mary Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
