Recap: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors
In what's become a running theme this season, the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They put the hurt on Southeastern Christian Academy with a sharp 72-50 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Harrells Christian Academy has posted since December 8, 2023.
Antonio McKoy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashaun Mckoy, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eric Nyberg, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Uzziah Marlowe was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six assists.
Even though they lost, Southeastern Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harrells Christian Academy only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.
Harrells Christian Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-10. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Harrells Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Halifax Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Halifax Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Scotland Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. Scotland Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
