Softball Preview: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Hart County Bulldogs
The Rabun County Wildcats will be playing at home against the Hart County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Rabun County knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten run or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Hart County likes a good challenge.
Rabun County took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Habersham Central as Rabun County made off with a 16-8 win.
Meanwhile, Hart County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell just short of Commerce by a score of 6-5.
Hart County got a big performance out of Ava Carey, who went 1-for-3 with a home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Bennett, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Even though they lost, Hart County was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. That's the most doubles they've earned since was before the start of last season.
Rabun County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hart County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
