Volleyball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Grantsburg

Grantsburg had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Luck Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Grantsburg was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.

Ruby Rengo paced Grantsburg's offense, picking up 13 kills. Rengo got some help from Megan Harmon and her 21 assists. Rengo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Grantsburg's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Luck, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-21.

Looking ahead, Grantsburg will be taking part in a tournament against Superior at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Luck, they will square off against Siren at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
