Baseball Recap: Thurston-Cuming County Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bryan

There's no place like home for Thurston-Cuming County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bryan Bears with a sharp 13-4 win on Thursday. Thurston-Cuming County has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Bryan, too.

Thurston-Cuming County got a massive performance out of Owen Kneifl, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave Kneifl a new career-high. Alex Roth was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Thurston-Cuming County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bryan only posted a batting average of .278.

Thurston-Cuming County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Bryan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
