Baseball Recap: Clinton Prairie Gophers vs. Carroll Cougars
Clinton Prairie hadn't done well against Carroll recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Gophers walked away with a 9-6 win over the Cougars. The victory was familiar territory for the Gophers, who have now won three matches in a row.
Kye Jacobs made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. In other batting news, Ben Schlicher was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Price, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
