Basketball Game Preview: Terrell Tigers vs. Red Oak Hawks

Terrell is 0-4 against Red Oak since January of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Terrell Tigers will welcome the Red Oak Hawks at 8:00 p.m.

Terrell is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Midlothian, falling 66-41. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1164th, while the Panthers are ranked 121st).

Meanwhile, Red Oak had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 81-56 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Terrell's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Red Oak, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 15-8.

Terrell took a serious blow against Red Oak in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 73-12. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Terrell was down 47-7.
