Football Recap: Chequamegon/Butternut/Mercer Triumphs

Chequamegon/Butternut/Mercer won the last time they faced Prentice, and Mason Paholke did his part to make sure it happened again. Chequamegon/Butternut/Mercer blew past Prentice 54-30 on Friday for which the team can thank Paholke, who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and one TD. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making 11 total tackles and defending two passes.

Marcus Purdy was another key player, picking up 148 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 86 yards.

The victory got Chequamegon/Butternut/Mercer back to even at 2-2. As for Prentice, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
