            Westmont and Santa Teresa are an even 5-5 against one another  since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Warriors will challenge the Saints at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Westmont is coming into the  contest on  a  four-game losing streak.
Westmont made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pioneer, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of  5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Warriors have suffered  since April 11th.

 Peyton Hines spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Westmont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  James Doherty, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
Leigh hit Santa Teresa with a nine-run third inning  on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints lost  12-3 to the Longhorns. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Santa Teresa also got a good showing from  Peter Melendez, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Melendez has become a key player for the Saints: the team is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 7-11 otherwise.
 Westmont's record is now 4-18-1. As for Santa Teresa, their record now sits at 9-12.
 Westmont was able to grind out a solid  win over Santa Teresa when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, winning  12-8. Will the Warriors repeat their success,  or do  the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
