Calumet moved up to 216 from 256 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Western Peninsula. A 38-8 win over West Iron County helped the Copper Kings improve their standing.

L'Anse extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Wright, 36-28. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.

Northland Pines/Phelps' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cooper Kerner has thrown for 311 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Sam Lacko has six catches for 210 yards. Austin Ramesh leads the league in rushing with 684 yards.

A big matchup in Western Peninsula this week will be when Northland Pines/Phelps takes on the Wykons. At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while West Iron County is in fourth.

Calumet made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,024 from 7,047. The advance stemmed from a 38-8 victory over Mike Berutti's team last week.
