Basketball Recap: Corsica/Stickney Comes Up Short

Corsica/Stickney came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Parkston Trojans, falling 63-43. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Trojans are ranked 34th).

Corsica/Stickney's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Parkston, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Coming up, Corsica/Stickney will challenge Chamberlain at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Corsica/Stickney is facing Chamberlain at the right time seeing as Chamberlain is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Parkston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
