Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Austin Prep). They blew past the Hamden Hall Country Day Hornets 43-18 on Saturday.

Austin McWeeney and Logan Rapuano certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. McWeeney rushed for 204 yards and one TD while picking up 12.0 yards per carry, while Rapuano picked up 121 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. McWeeney has become a key player for Hamden Hall Country Day: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Austin Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hamden Hall Country Day, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Austin Prep will square off against Canterbury School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Saints' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hamden Hall Country Day, they will challenge Berkshire School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
