Softball Game Preview: Southwest SD Raiders vs. Montgomery Aztecs

For the second straight game, Southwest SD will face off against Montgomery. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest SD has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Southwest SD couldn't beat Montgomery on Monday even though they stacked ten runs on them in the fifth inning. The Raiders took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aztecs. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Romina Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mykaela Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Southwest SD's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Montgomery, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-10.
