Basketball Recap: Portola's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Portola extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Connor Sheridan. The Portola Tigers enjoyed a cozy 80-62 win over the Hamilton Braves on Tuesday thanks to Sheridan, who posted 40 points in addition to 23 rebounds and ten assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Portola's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Richardson, who scored five points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Kayden Strong and Case Porter certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Strong had 16 points and five boards, while Porter put up 20 points and three steals. The game was Strong's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Mateo Cardenas was another key player, putting up six points.

Portola's record is now 17-7. As for Hamilton, their record is now 12-12.

Portola has already played their next matchup, a 66-38 victory against Williams on the 12th. As for Hamilton, they will head out to challenge Quincy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Quincy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight.
