Basketball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Comes Up Short

Chuckey-Doak was the 75-54 winner over Happy Valley when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Chuckey-Doak Black Knights took a hard 60-44 fall against the Happy Valley Warriors on Friday. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chuckey-Doak's record now sits at 2-7. As for Happy Valley, they moved to 1-9 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Chuckey-Doak will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rhea County at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Happy Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Elizabethton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Elizabethton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Happy Valley likes a good challenge.
