Basketball Game Preview: Enloe Eagles vs. Sanderson Spartans

Enloe is 0-10 against Sanderson since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Enloe Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Sanderson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Enloe is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Cardinal Gibbons 64-23. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.

Meanwhile, Sanderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 56-12 loss at the hands of Athens Drive. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while the Jaguars are ranked 188th).

Sanderson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Enloe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Enloe might still be hurting after the 44-20 defeat they got from Sanderson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Enloe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
