Baseball Game Preview: Los Osos Grizzlies vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars

For the second straight game, Los Osos will face off against Rancho Cucamonga. The Grizzlies will head out to square off against the Cougars at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Los Osos has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Los Osos fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Grizzlies have suffered since February 22nd.

Jordan Mejico was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over 7.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Wyatt Mohler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
