Soccer Game Preview: Peshtigo vs. Sturgeon Bay

The Peshtigo Bulldogs will challenge the Sturgeon Bay Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Peshtigo headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Three Lakes/Phelps let them put that streak behind them. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over Three Lakes/Phelps on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Peshtigo as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Sturgeon Bay hadn't done well against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Clippers beat the Resorters by a goal, winning 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Sturgeon Bay.

Peshtigo's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Sturgeon Bay, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.
