Johnson hadn't done well against Liberty County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Atomsmashers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Atomsmashers have posted since September 19, 2024.

Johnson's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Liberty County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
